Ather 450
Max speed: 90 km/h. It is a viable alternative to a conventional scooter offering impressive performance, excellent driving dynamics, and high practicality despite its limited range. The technological nature of the scooter also makes it a real device. With an asking price of around 1.25 lakh (on the road, Bangalore), the price of the Ather 450 is not too different from the high-end iPhone. Either way, it’s a premium compared to what’s on sale, but we think it’s a worthwhile purchase because you’ll love the experience.
Okinawa Okhi 90
Max speed: 85 km/h. The Okinawa Okhi 90 is the company’s flagship electric two-wheeler, and it competes with long-standing rivals such as the Ather 450X, TVS iQube, and Bajaj Chetak. The power of the Okinawa Okhi-90 tram comes from a 3.8 kW belt-driven motor. The company claims that the scooter can reach a top speed of 85-90 km/h. What it needs is more performance, even if it easily hits the announced top speed of 78 km/h in Power mode.
Hero Vida V1
Max speed: 80 km/h. The Hero Vida V1 has been around for a long time and this is the first electric car to carry Hero’s EV brand, which is the Vida. In electric form, it is a nice enough scooter and looks like a well-built, well-finished scooter with all the features and conveniences associated with an electric scooter. The only downside right now is its availability, but that’s likely to change next year. Its design is its greatest strength, along with its easy driving.
Okaya Classiq
