Ather is an Indian brand and start-up dedicated to ‘offering the most comprehensive range of battery-powered two-wheelers’ in the Indian electric vehicle market. This start-up was founded in 2013 by two of its IIT graduates and the Ather 450x was designed and assembled entirely in India with 20% of the parts imported. This is a powerful electric scooter with high-end specs and amazing features like geo-fencing, GPS-enabled and a 7-inch ‘interactive’ display console.
The Ather 450X is powered by a PMSM motor with a power output of 5400 watts. The Ather 450X takes him 5 hours and 40 minutes to fully charge the 3.7kWh battery and on a single charge they claims a range of 60km. Bajaj Chetak is not an unfamiliar name for us. It was our first choice in the 90’s. However, over time, new and old technologies in the automotive industry overtook the old versions and this scooter almost disappeared from the market. But instead of hiding forever, they returned and placed him fourth in the Top 10 Best e-scooters.
Bajaj Chetak has a BLDC motor of 4200 watts. Bajaj Chetak claims that it takes him five hours to fully charge the 50.4V/60.4Ah battery and on a single charge he claims a range of 80km. Hero Vida
Hero MotoCorp recently entered the electric mobility space with the launch of an e-scooter under newly formed EV subsidiary, Vida. The updated Hero Vida V1 Plus and V1 Pro electric scooters were launched last October.
Vida V1 is an electric scooter that comes with a starting price of Rs. 1.33.703 in India. There are 2 variations and 3 colors. The price of the most popular variation starts at Rs. 1.46.066. Vida V1 produces 3900W of power from the motor. The Vida V1 comes with front disc brakes and rear drum brakes.
Hero Vida has launched its first electric scooter, the Vida V1 in India. Here are two variations : V1 Plus and V1 Pro. The base model is priced at Rs 1,45,000 and the Pro is priced at Rs 1,59,000 (at the Delhi showroom, excluding FAME II).
The Vida V1 has a rather futuristic look with a small tinted visor and LED turn signals above the Schulzenberg LED headlights. You also get a split seat layout with a rugged looking grab bar.
