Tollywood actor Vijay Deverakonda to invest in EV startup Watts & Volts 

Hyderabad-based electric vehicle startup Watts and Volts to receive an investment from Actor-cum-entrepreneur Vijay Deverakonda. The Tollywood actor has announced its investments at the launch of the Telangana’s new electric vehicle policy. The startup is preparing its operations from next year.

The investment amount is disclosed. The actor has successfully managed his clothing line Rowdy and now taking steps towards eco commutes and shared mobility by partnering with Watts and Volts.

“I strongly believe in sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives that facilitate a greener future. With Watts and Volts, we are working on electric cycles, bikes and scooters that will eliminate pollution, for short travel as opposed to the conventional fuel-based transportation system,” he said in the release.

The startup has introduced its operational plans and visions at the Telangana EV Summit on Oct 30 at Hyderabad. It will commence its operations from January 2021.
