TI Cycles launched Montra E-Bicycle
TI Cycles (Tube Investments of India) a Chennai based Murugappa Group company that specializes in engineering, bicycles, metal formed products, and chains has launched its first electric bike which is designed for shorter commutes. It is the maker of popular cycles such as BSA, Hercules, montra. The electric bicycle comes at an affordable price of Rs.27,279. It is the most lightweight electric bicycle with alloy frames which makes it easier to manoeuvre.

The Montra bike brand of TI cycles of India aims to remove the dependency on public transport for shorter commutes. While we look for its features it comes with an alloy frame and a dual-mode that allows the user to shift between manual and electric mode as per their convenience. It comes with an electric braking system which ensures effective and smooth braking as it cuts off the motor power upon application of brakes.
The electric bicycle on average will run at the rate of 7 paise per km while reducing the individual carbon footprint and also saves a lot of time that we invest in waiting for public transport. While we look for its technical terms Montra e-Bikes will provide a range of up to 30 km in a single charge and up to 25 km/h of maximum speed. These e-bikes will be available all over India.

TI Cycles aims to promote the use of electric bikes to cut down the carbon emissions and also the users can travel to longer distances without exerting themselves as compared to manual cycles. Montra E-bicycles wants to encourage the youth to be a part of the future. Tube Investments to launch electric 3 wheeler passenger vehicles in India
Recently, Tube Investments of India (TII) announced that will make its entry into the electric mobility space by launching electric three-wheeler passenger vehicles by March 2022. It is gearing up for a new growth curve with a CAPEX of ₹200-250 crore in FY22 that will be spending on electric three-wheeler vehicle projects and other expansions, and an aggressive focus on exports of bicycles. The company plans to manufacture and sell electric three-wheelers. It is working on launching its electric three-wheelers this fiscal.
“Progress continues on the electric vehicle project front. Obviously, things have been slightly delayed due to Covid. Our initial plan was to try and launch it in the fourth quarter of this financial year. We are still working towards those targets, but it might get pushed out because we have had several delays due to Covid in this last quarter,” Vellayan Subbiah, Managing Director, Tube Investments of India said.
