The Ola End Ice Age, Part 1: Bhavish Aggarwal unveils ultra-affordable EV scooters

By 2025, the CEO wants all two-wheelers in India to be electric

Ola Electric announced the launch of the Ola S1X EV scooter along with other new products at the “End of the Ice Age, Part 1” event starting at noon on August 15, the day the company marks “Customer Day”. This launch is a push towards electronic vehicles (EVs) with the aim of ending the “era” of ICEs or internal combustion engine scooters.

Ola released one product a month ago, then last month they released two and now they have released 5 scooters, ending the ICE era. They showed a variety of Ola S1 Pro, S1 Air, S1X (2 variants) and S1X+. Work hard and compassion for the end of the ICE era and a better EV experience for their customers.

Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal said they came up with these products and also solutions to the reasons why people have always stopped buying electric cars. He said, “There is no longer a reason to buy a beautiful product. No one should have a reason. Between these products, you can buy at any price of all scooter prices, you will get an Ola product.

Ola is proud to present their new Ola S1X e-scooter which they call the “ICE Killer”. They say that this scooter will actually end the “Ice Age” just like the name of the event.

Ola Electric has launched two new electric motorcycles on the Indian market. There are the S1X and S1X+. These are the most affordable electric scooters in Ola Electric’s lineup, which means they fall below the S1 Air. The Ola S1X starts at Rs 79,999 for a 2kWh battery while the S1X+ costs Rs 99,999. Both prices are the old price and the introductory price.

The S1X will be offered with two battery options. Up until August 21, the price of the 3kWh plan will be Rs 89,999, after which it will go up to Rs 99,999. The 2 kWh battery version is priced at 79,999 until August 21, after which the price will increase to 89,999.

The S1X+ only comes with a 3 kWh battery. It costs 99,999 but this is the introductory price. After August 21, the price will be increased to 1,09,999 in the old showroom. It is expected that deliveries will begin at the end of September.
