Tesla CEO To Launch Self-Driving EV Robotaxis Next year

The Tech entrepreneur, investor, and engineer announced his plans for EV firms to launch the robotaxis by 2020. The company will at least launch a million self-driving robotaxis in some parts of the US.

Tesla’s Self-Driving Taxis Will Be More Advanced

During this year Tesla’s self-driving taxis will be more advanced that it can also be driven without the driver’s attention.

Robotaxis Buyers Will Be Benefited By Putting It In Fleets

The buyers of this robotaxis will be able to have all the benefits by putting their self-driving cars as robotaxi fleets like Uber or Airbnb.

“We will have more than one million robotaxis on the road,” Musk was quoted. “A year from now, we’ll have over a million cars with full self-driving, software everything.”

All The Tesla Cars Are Built With Hardware-Full Self-Driving

Elon Musk already started working on the robotaxis. Not only the robotaxis but all the Tesla cars are made with all the “hardware necessary for full self-driving”.

Which have eight vision cameras, radar, 12 ultrasonic sensors, and a full self-driving chip which can process up to 2300 frames per second.

National Electric Mobility Mission Plan 2020

In 2013 India in a bid to boost up the EV government launched a National Electric Mobility Mission Plan 2020, under this mission in March 2015 the Scheme FAME for (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid&) Electric Vehicles in India (FAME India)) was launched for 2 years under the phase-I which ended on March 31, 2019.

After the phase-I ended, the FAME II, Phase II started on April 1st, 2019 which will last for two-years.

The hints are given by the Musk and the policies by the government we can hope to see Tesla’s in India soon and the robotaxis.

However, it is not so easy thing to bring in the autonomous driverless robotaxis in India as the road conditions and the traffic congestion on Indian roads makes it difficult to drive. We can hope to see Tesla in India.
