Tata Tigor EV launched in India at ₹ 11.99 lakh
Tata Motors has launched the most affordable electric car, the Tigor EV sedan in India with the ex-showroom prices starting at ₹ 11.99 lakh for the base XE variant and going up to ₹ 12.99 lakh for the range-topping XZ+ (O) variant.
It will be available in XE, XM, XZ+ and XZ+ (O). The Tigor EV is the company’s second EV with the ZipTron powertrain which was also there in the Nexon EV. Interested people can pre-book this electric sedan on the company’s website online or at the company’s dealerships.

Tata Tigor EV specifications
The new electric subcompact sedan gets a 26 kWh lithium-ion battery with a new Permanent Magnet Synchronous electric motor that churns out 55 kW or 74 bhp and 170 Nm of peak torque. It can accelerate 0-60 kmph in just 5.7 seconds. It does provide a range of 306 km (ARAI certified). It can be charged up to 80 per cent in less than 60 minutes of time using a fast charger. With a home charger, it takes 8.5 hours to charge it fully. It gets an IP67 certification on battery and gets an eight-year warranty or 1.6 lakh km on battery and motor.
Features
While we look for its features, it includes a 7-inch touchscreen, silent in-cabin experience, fully automatic temperature control, smart key, tyre puncture kit, boot space, spacious interiors, height adjustable seat, portable charging cable, 30+ connected car features which includes remote commands and remote diagnostics, etc.
Its safety features include hill ascent, hill descent control, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, CSC or Cornering Stability Control. It is offering 8 years of warranty on the battery pack and the motor which are IP67 rated and it comes with an impact-resistant battery pack casing.

During its launch event, Tata Motors said that it shares 70 per cent of the share in the electric market. The company said that it has sold around 8,500 plus electric vehicles and out of which 6000 plus units are of the Nexon EV. The Nexon EV customers have collectively driven more than 35 million kilometres to date. Which has helped to save over 35-kilo tons on CO2 emissions, which is equivalent to planting half a million trees.
