Tata Motors, one of the top three manufacturers in India, has the greatest market share in both the passenger and commercial EV markets. The company has regularly introduced new BEV (battery electric vehicle) models during the last few years. To further expand its offering, the company recently unveiled the Magic EV minivan, which is primarily designed for last-mile commercial services.
The Magic EV is a passenger vehicle with 10 seats and a driver. Its measurements were 3,790 mm in length, 1,500 mm in breadth, 1,890 mm in height, 1,870 mm in height, and 2,100 mm in wheelbase. 160 mm of the ground is cleaned. The Tata Magic Electric 10-Seater EV sets the standard for zero-emission transportation thanks to its cutting-edge battery cooling system and IP 67-rated water and dust-proof drivetrain. The battery has a 14–20 kWh capacity and can produce 90–115 Nm of torque.
It has a single-speed transmission and a front and rear suspension system with semi-elliptical leaf springs. It has a lower operational cost and can be used for slow, quick, and home charging. The battery can be fully charged using conventional charging in 6–6.5 hours while using rapid charging only takes 1–1.7 hours. The range might reach 140 kilometers. A 7-inch TFT infotainment system, voice assistance, and a reverse camera are available on board, and the cabin has room for more luggage. As of this writing, the Tata Magic EV’s price has not been disclosed.
