Quantum Energy Supercharges Hyderabad EV Plant with Net-Zero Expansion to Boost Production
Hyderabad-based Quantum Energy Limited has announced a significant expansion of its state-of-the-art EV manufacturing facility in Maheshwaram, strategically located near the proposed Future City in Hyderabad. The newly expanded plant, now spanning an impressive 2.4 lakh sq. ft., is designed with net-zero environmental impact, aligning with India’s broader sustainability goals.
With this expansion, the facility now boasts an annual production capacity of 2 lakh electric two-wheelers, which includes popular models like the Plasma, Milan, and Bziness. This move comes amid a surge in demand for Quantum’s innovative e-scooters, known for their efficiency, affordability, and suitability for Indian conditions.
In addition to scaling production, the facility is expected to generate substantial local employment, contributing to regional economic development and reinforcing Telangana’s vision of becoming a leading hub for clean and future-ready industries.
Speaking on the occasion, Managing Director Chakravarthi C highlighted the strategic importance of the expansion. “This milestone strengthens our mission to provide high-quality, energy-efficient mobility solutions. It’s a testament to our continued commitment to sustainability, innovation, and self-reliance in the Indian EV sector,” he said.
