Porsche sold 57,202 vehicles in 2018 making their production double, the Porsche’s Taycan EV is in high demand more than the maker’s expectation. Porsche Taycan EV Doubles Up The Production
The Porsche says Taycan means the “Lively Young Horse” will be available in the US by the end of 2019 at the cost around $80,000. It will have up to 600 hp of power and 310 miles of range. Apart from its last year’s sale in 2018, 20,000 units of Taycan will represent a huge brand.

“We had been ready for (the high demand),” said Andrew Lennon, a Manager of Product Communications for Porsche. “We had the ability to increase capacity from the beginning, and executives recently made the decision to go ahead.”
The New Porsche Promises To Supercharge- 100 km Charging In 4 Minutes
The Taycan’s most interesting thing is that it’s charging. Taycan will add more than 100 km of charging in just four minutes. This is all possible due to its battery pack 800-volt which provides fast charging facility up to 350 kilowatts more quickly than a Tesla’s supercharging station, which charges the batteries in 30 minutes about 80%.
“Getting into a car and doing zero-to-100 km/h in less than three seconds—can you really differentiate yourself if you do it in 2.8 seconds, and the other can do it in 2.7?” said Klaus Zellmer, the head of Porsche Cars North America. “There are other factors that will gain importance, such as charging time.”
Porsche sales chief Detlev von Platen says, “We expect by 2025, roughly 50 percent of our products to be electrified, either with a fully electric engine or with a plug-in hybrid.”
