Omega Seiki Mobility Unveils Bold EV Growth Strategy: Electric Buses, CNG 3-Wheelers, and UAE Expansion in Focus
Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM), one of India’s fastest-growing electric vehicle manufacturers, is ramping up its ambitions with a multipronged strategy that includes the launch of advanced electric buses, the rollout of CNG-powered three-wheelers, and a major push into international markets such as the UAE.
In a significant move, OSM has announced the upcoming launch of a fully electric 9-metre low-floor bus tailored for urban public transport and government fleet operations. This model is expected to hit the roads within the next 12 months and is designed to meet the rising demand for clean and efficient city mobility solutions.
The bus is equipped with a 190 kW electric motor and a 195 kWh NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) battery pack , offering an impressive range of 200 km on a single charge . One of its standout features is its fast-charging capability, which allows the battery to charge from 0 to 80% in just 30 minutes —a vital attribute for high-utilization public transport fleets.
Looking ahead, OSM is also working on a high-deck luxury e-bus aimed at the premium intercity travel segment. Developed in collaboration with a Swedish technology partner, this model is expected to debut within the next 18 months and will cater to long-distance travelers seeking comfort, performance, and sustainability.
With a planned annual production capacity of 800 units , OSM is setting its sights on capturing 40% of the market share in its targeted bus segment—a bold target that reflects the company’s confidence in both product innovation and market demand.
Alongside its electric initiatives, OSM is also expanding its product mix to include CNG-powered 3-wheelers . This move addresses the needs of drivers and fleet operators looking for cost-effective, cleaner alternatives to diesel, especially in regions where EV charging infrastructure is still developing.
These CNG vehicles will be positioned as a practical, low-emission option for urban and semi-urban logistics, further strengthening OSM’s footprint in last-mile mobility solutions.
As part of its aggressive growth roadmap, Omega Seiki Mobility is also entering the international arena, starting with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) . The company aims to establish a strategic presence in the Middle East, tapping into the region’s growing interest in sustainable transportation and smart city initiatives.
This expansion will include partnerships, local assembly, and eventually full-scale production to cater to regional requirements and standards. The UAE entry marks the first step in OSM’s broader global vision.
