Omega Seiki and FITT partnered to work on EV technology & research

Omega Seiki Mobility and FITT an industry interface organisation established by the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi have joined hands to work on electric vehicle technologies and advanced research.

Both the partners have signed a memorandum of understanding for this collaboration that aims to innovate the alternate energy powered vehicles and other emerging technologies in EV space.

“Partnering with the best premier technical and research university will not only contribute to India but to the whole world, through excellence in scientific and technical education and research will ultimately serve as a treasured resource for industry and society as a whole,” Anglian Omega Group Chairman Uday Narang said.

This partnership will explore valuable resources in alternative energy-powered vehicles and other emerging technologies in the EV industry.

FITT Managing Director Anil Wali said, “This the partnership is a milestone occasion as it brings together two parties from different walks of life, who have the potential to work jointly towards this global disruption of electric mobility.”

Omega Seiki Private Limited had unveiled its first smart electric cargo 3 wheeler at Auto Expo 2020. This smart electric cargo three-wheelers named as Singha and Singha Max is having a loading capacity of 500 kg and is priced at Rs 3.5 lakhs and 3.6 lakhs.

The specifications of Singha and Singha Max electric cargos, they are equipped with a 48V Ip65 lithium-ion battery and a 3kW and 6kW Ip65 motors which produces a 30 and 80 Nm of peak torque. It gives a range of 100 km with a full charge and it is coming in two-speed variants top speed of 45 kmph and 60 kmph. It costs very less for running, at just Rs 0.5/km.

The windscreen and wiping system, driving modes, spare wheel provision, 12V socket, regenerative braking system, rear camera, LED headlight, LED tail lights, carried design (open carrier, thermally insulated box, closed box) are some of its additional features.
