Olectra Secures ₹424 Cr E-Bus Order from Himachal Road Transport Corporation
Hyderabad, April 11: Olectra Greentech Ltd., a leading player in electric mobility solutions, has secured a significant order worth ₹424 crore to supply 297 electric buses to the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC). This marks another milestone in the company’s mission to transform public transport with clean and sustainable mobility solutions.
The order, awarded under a government-backed initiative to promote green transportation, includes not only the supply of buses but also comprehensive maintenance and support services for the entire fleet. The buses are expected to be delivered in phases, with Olectra ensuring full operational support throughout the contract period.
These zero-emission electric buses will serve routes across the challenging terrains of Himachal Pradesh, offering a cleaner alternative to diesel-powered public transport in the hilly state. The deployment of these buses is expected to significantly reduce the region’s carbon footprint while enhancing passenger comfort and safety.
