Ola Electric Introduces HyperDelivery for Instant EV Registration
Ola Electric, a prominent player in India’s electric vehicle (EV) market, has launched the #HyperDelivery initiative, aiming to provide customers with same-day vehicle registration and delivery. This pilot program commenced in Bengaluru and is set to expand across India in a phased manner during this quarter.
The #HyperDelivery service allows customers to complete their EV purchase either online or at an Ola Electric store and receive their fully registered vehicle within hours. This significant reduction in processing time is achieved by moving the vehicle registration process in-house and implementing AI-led automation. An Ola Electric spokesperson stated that this approach ensures a smoother purchase experience by eliminating tedious processes and long delivery timelines.
This development follows Ola Electric’s recent efforts to streamline its operations. In February, the company renegotiated agreements with two vendors managing vehicle registrations—Rosmerta Digital Services and Shimnit India. These negotiations aimed to reduce costs associated with the registration process. Although talks initially fell through, leading Rosmerta to file an insolvency petition against Ola Electric’s EV arm, the company announced on March 25 that all dues with the Rosmerta Group had been amicably settled.
By integrating the registration process internally and leveraging artificial intelligence for automation, Ola Electric has significantly reduced the time required to register vehicles. This initiative not only enhances customer satisfaction by providing quicker deliveries but also positions Ola Electric competitively in the rapidly growing EV market.
