The Ola Co-Founder and CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal said that “it started with an idea 6 years ago, an idea that would have made Indians enjoy the flight, go above the clouds, actually, above everything.”
The Ola Chief Technological officer, Rustom Screwvala said “that after 6 years of intensive testing, and in-depth development, we have created something amazing. Something that will change the way you think about a car.”
Key features
Its design looks awesome and for that everyone wants to drive it at least once. It is a zero-emission electric race car and is powered by a VTOL (Vertical Take-Off & Landing) technology. It provides a top speed of 350 km per hour (air) and most interestingly it is completely autonomous hence needs no license to drive or fly, isn’t amazing?
- Pilotless flying
- Road legal
- Air-capable
- Patented Puracell Technology
The Automotive Designer, Nutwarlal Prasad says “it is powered by a 100% electric motor with shark-fin wing rotors that uses oxy-aspirated thrusters for VTOL, which means you can take off and land vertically, anywhere, anytime.”
The Ola Materials Engineer, Pooja Kaamkar says that “this is no ordinary car! To facilitate an easy take-off we built the body with a new-age material such as carbon fibre and titanium all sustainably sourced from F1 cars in Germany, fighter jets from the US and soft drinks cans from Shivajinagar.
Artificial Intelligence
The AirPro’s AI uses sensors, actuators, complex algorithms, and machine learning to map and navigate terra firma and the sky. It uses advanced quantum computing to assess, analyse and assimilate shared human behaviour and runs the car on perpetual autopilot mode.
