New OTA features have been added to the Ather 450X. 

The navigation system on the Ather Energy 450X has been updated over-the-air (OTA) with new features. Ather 450X’s latest OTA update provides subtle improvements to its Google Maps-based navigation system, including improved live traffic indicators and two-wheeler-specific routes. As a result of the new features, the navigational experience for both new and existing users has been significantly improved.

According to Ather, its 450X digital console is now equipped with new live traffic indicators, which provide riders with a real-time view of the traffic conditions on their route in real-time. Updates provide more accurate and up-to-date information about traffic conditions.

In addition, the 450X will now be able to display two-wheeler-specific routes directly on the dashboard provided by Google Maps. This is a segment-first feature, and Ather scooters are the first in the world to offer two-wheeler riders tailored navigation and routes. Furthermore, the company states that the OTA update will improve GPS latching, which will result in a better and more stable connection for continuous navigation.

Ather states that the OTA updates are free of charge and will be rolled out phase-by-phase to 450X users by the end of this month. Additionally, the company will introduce the 450 Apex as a new limited edition model on January 6, 2024. Ather 450Apex has been ridden and a review will be released on the same day as the ride.
