Kolkata-based e-mobility startup Motovolt has grown rapidly and is a strong competitor to other e-mobility companies. Motovolt is actively engaged in the research, development, and production of electric bicycles. They also plan to establish businesses around the world.

Their expansion has taken place in conjunction with visits to government officials and communication between them.
Soumen Mondal, Trade Commissioner for Investments at the Canadian High Commission in India, and Arjun Dutta, Canadian Trade Commissioner based in Kolkata, East, and Northeast India, have met with Tushar Chowdhury, the founder, and CEO of Motovolt. “I was delighted to meet Motovolt, an electric mobility company that researches, develops, and manufactures e-bikes,” Soumen Mondal said in a tweet.
Furthermore, he said that he is looking forward to being able to help the company expand in the Canadian market.
Motovolt has already been announced and is currently working on international expansion. Motovolt has invested Rs 90 crore in eROCKIT as a private investment. Notably, in November 2022 Motovolt secured Rs 160 crore funding ahead of its Series A. These funds will be used for product launches, marketing activities, and expanding presence in India. This will be Motovolt’s first international electric mobility rollout. This initial investment should strengthen product development and production at eROCKIT’s Berlin production plant.
