Microsoft selects Magenta for its Startup support program for EV Software & Charging Platform Development

Microsoft has selected Magenta the pioneer in the business of clean mobility and clean electricity, for its Start-up support program. Under this program, Microsoft supports B2B tech startups to scale and grow to leverage its technology, cloud marketplace, enterprise sales team, and Rapidly growing partner ecosystem for developing its Digital Technology platforms for EV and EV charging.

Magenta has been developing India specific EV charging hardware solutions since 2017. Now with the support of Microsoft, Magenta will be able to develop technology for the ChargeGrid software, which will truly enable Magenta to become an end-to-end ‘Socket to Software’ solution provider for EV charging in India.

Earlier the EV charger startup supported by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited has also unveiled its first Street Lamp Integrated electric vehicle (EV) Charger ‘ChargeGrid Flare’.The company is further planning to roll-out this newly launched Street Lamp Integrated EV Charger into the market. This first of its kind chargers in the country are unique as they can be incorporated within the energy-efficient street lamps columns.

These charging stations are unique as it looks like a traditional street light. These EV chargers will be first installed at the HPCL retail outlets in major cities across India in its first stage.

These chargers will be particularly installed at the new and existing car parking areas, street/corporate parking environments and retail outlets. These chargers can be installed very easily and can be found using the ChargeGrid app.
