Mercedes-Benz unveils EQE electric sedan

Mercedes-Benz unveils the production version of EQE its new E-Class size electric sedan with an impressive 400-mile range. The company had already announced the smaller EQE but it is also unveiling the production version of the EQE ahead of the IAA Mobility show in Munich.

“The EQE features a sporty ‘purpose design’ with all the characteristic elements of Mercedes-EQ, one-bow lines and cab-forward design. Sensual Purity is reflected in generously modelled surfaces, reduced joints and seamless transitions (seamless design). The overhangs and the front end are kept short, the rear provides the dynamic accent with a sharp rear spoiler. Flush with the outer edge of the body, the 19- to 21-inch wheels, together with a pronounced muscular shoulder section, give the EQE an athletic character.”

Features 

Coming to its features, its wheelbase is shorter and certainly smaller to 90 millimetres (3.5″) overall outside dimensions similar to an E-Class. Apart from these, it will carry mostly the EQS technology such as Hyperscreen, Hepa filter, etc. It also has Mercedes-Benz EQE’s software which can be updated over-the-air and it comes with the company’s latest driver-assist features.

 

Specifications 

The AMG EQC is the first battery-electric production car from the company’s in-house performance subsidiary. Talking about its technical specifications, the EQE battery pack has a capacity of 90 kWh and a range of up to 660 km according to WLTP. The model range is included in two variants at market launch is the den EQE 350 with the power consumption acc. to WLTP: 19.3-15.7 kWh/100 km; CO2 emissions: 0 g/km and the one with the 215 kW.

Price 

Mercedes Benz has not yet revealed the price of the new E-Class-size electric sedan but it is expected to be competitive with the E-Class, which starts at $55,000 in the US.

Mercedes teases new electric car Vision EQXX

Recently,  Mercedes Benz has released a new teaser image of the luxury electric car, the Mercedes Vision EQXX. It will be the new electric model for the brand which the company had announced a year ago. The electric car is being developed by a high-performance power train group in the UK and it was hinted that it could provide a range of approximately 750 miles (1,207 km) on a single charge.

We can see it in the shared monochrome image, the sloping image and distinctive taillights. It does feature slim headlamps that are connected to the illuminated strip. It offers a wide lower entrance and a vented hood with the Mercedes logo on the top. Mercedes is also giving hints that Vision EQXX could be presented today during the “Strategy Update”.
