Mahindra launches eKUV100 with
a price tag of ₹8.25 lakh
Mahindra has launched India’s most affordable electric car, eKUV100 at Auto Expo 2020 with a price tag of ₹8.25 lakh (ex-showroom). It was first showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. Mahindra launches eKUV100 at affordable price.
The eKUV100 comes with FAME II ( Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric vehicles in India) benefits.

Mahindra MD, Pawan Goenka said that “We have 18 vehicles on display at the Auto Expo pavilion. These comprise passenger, electric and commercial vehicles. Shared mobility will drive the adoption of EVs. We intend to offer the widest range of EVs and affordability is our guiding principle. The eKUV is an ideal vehicle for shared mobility.”
It is an all-electric version of the kuv 100 you dont see any changes in the exteriors of the car but if you look from inside you will find a combustion engine replaced with a lithium-ion battery pack.
Specifications of eKUV100
It works with a 40kW electric motor through a single-speed automatic transmission front-wheel drive. It is equipped with a 15.9 kWh lithium-ion battery. The eKuv 100 can accelerate 0-100 kph in 9 seconds and can produce 120 Nm of torque. On a single charge, it is expected to offer a range of 120 km.
The vehicle, it claimed to be fast-charged to 80 per cent in 55 minutes. It can be pre-cooled and remote start like MG Hector and MG ZS.

The Price of the eKUV100 is ₹8.25 lakh unveiled at Auto Expo 2020. Mahindra has few more electric vehicles lined up to be unveiled in coming days. The eKUV 100 will compete with Tigor EV which is having a range 0f 213 km and its on-road price is 11 lakh rupees.
