Mahindra BE.06 Becomes First Indian EV SUV to Lap London Formula E Track
London, 29 July 2025 – In a groundbreaking showcase of Indian automotive innovation, Mahindra’s BE.06 electric SUV made history by becoming the first Indian electric SUV to complete hot laps at the prestigious London Formula E-Prix circuit . This global debut highlights Mahindra’s growing presence in the high-performance electric vehicle segment and its commitment to world-class EV engineering.
The BE.06, part of Mahindra’s bold Born Electric (BE) lineup, is based on the INGLO platform —a modular, lightweight, and high-performance architecture designed for global markets. With battery options up to 79 kWh and an impressive range of up to 682 km , the BE.06 also supports ultra-fast DC charging , showcasing both long-distance capability and rapid recharge efficiency.
The hot laps were more than a publicity event—they demonstrated the BE.06’s real-world agility, power, and stability on a professional motorsport circuit. The track run positions Mahindra not just as an EV manufacturer, but as a serious player in the global electric performance space .
