KTM Electric Scooter Spied in Test For the First Time

Sportsy and muscular EMotion concepts are similar to this design

This could very well be the first step towards KTM’s electric scooter plans coming to fruition. There has been a recent sighting of a KTM electric scooter prototype in Europe.

As shown in the photos, many parts are still being developed for this electric scooter because some parts have been 3D printed. A prototype of the product was well camouflaged, but many of its design features could clearly be seen through the camouflage. In terms of design, the scooter is not quite as aggressive and sharp as the concept scooter that was presented a few years ago. Despite this, KTM’s design language is widely known.

KTM’s battery is indeed located under the scooter floorboards, as it is on some electric scooters in India. As a result, the vehicle’s center of gravity is lowered and handling is improved. The swingarm of the KTM is entirely made of aluminum, which is characteristic of the company. The swingarm is also fitted with an aluminum plate that may have been used to cool the electric motor. However, it is not visible in these photos. Other special features of this electric scooter are a flat single seat, disc brakes on both ends, alloy wheels, a large windshield, and LED lights. Digital instrument clusters are also present.

There is a rumor that this KTM motorcycle will be powered by an 8kW motor that is said to be developed jointly with Bajaj and KTM. There is a rumor that Bajaj Chetak will be based on the same platform but with a smaller engine. In recent years, the two companies have been working together on the development of a joint electric vehicle platform. The advantages of this will be that brands will be able to develop their own products and benefit from economies of scale. During the EICMA show later this year, KTM plans to debut a production-ready model that will be available to the public in early 2025. Bajaj will build this electric scooter at its Chakan factory and export it to over 100 countries worldwide.
