Kinetic Green developing e-cycles partners with Autoline Ind

Kinetic Green, a Pune based electric vehicles manufacturer partnered with auto component maker Autoline Industries to develop and also do marketing of e-cycles. The Autoline will undertake the development of the electric cycle component assemblies that will be 100 per cent local.

The partnership succeeds in developing their first two models such as E-Speed which will be available in the market from next month onwards at a price of Rs 24,999. The Kinetic Group Chairman Arun Firodia said that Kinetics aim is to bring a wide range of innovative and affordable electric vehicles to the Indian mass market.

At current, as the government’s FAME II subsidy incentives are provided to the two-wheelers and three-wheelers segment, he urged the government to provide incentives also to the e-cycle segment.

This e-cycle will be built in Autoline Ind’s plant in Pune, which has 1,000 e-cycles productions per month and it can increase up to 10,000 units per month.

The E-Speed e-cycles are equipped with a lithium-ion battery which gives a top speed of 25 kmph and can give a range of 30 km on a single charge. It takes 3 hours to fully charge and the batteries are detachable and lightweight and can be charged using any regular socket. Initially, these e-cycles will be in two variants and later on more models will be introduced.

The Kinetic Green will do the marketing through its dealership networks across 150 cities. “We feel that e-cycles have the potential to make a massive impact on the micro-mobility market as well as to help improve fitness levels of our health-conscious millennials,” said Shivaji Akhade, promoter and managing director, Autoline Industries.
