Kinetic Engineering Launches Robotic Chassis Manufacturing Line for Next-Gen Kinetic DX EV

Kinetic Engineering Launches Robotic Chassis Manufacturing Line for Next-Gen Kinetic DX EV

Pune, India – Kinetic Engineering Limited (KEL), one of India’s oldest and most trusted automotive pioneers, has officially unveiled its Robotic Chassis Manufacturing Line, a cutting-edge facility dedicated to the production of the upcoming Kinetic DX Electric Vehicle. This marks a transformative step in India’s EV manufacturing landscape, introducing automation-driven precision and scalability to support the nation’s clean mobility mission.

Transforming EV Manufacturing with Robotics

The newly inaugurated line incorporates advanced robotic welding and assembly technologies that ensure unmatched accuracy and consistency in chassis production. Unlike conventional manual processes, this robotic setup guarantees lightweight yet durable structures—vital for electric vehicles where weight, efficiency, and safety are closely linked.

The Kinetic DX Advantage

The Kinetic DX EV, designed as a modern electric three-wheeler platform, will be the first product to benefit from this robotic innovation. With a precision-built chassis, the DX EV is expected to deliver:

  • Superior durability and load capacity
  • Reduced vibrations for smoother rides
  • Longer vehicle life cycle
  • Cost-effective and sustainable operations

These features are especially crucial in serving India’s urban last-mile delivery sector as well as rural mobility needs.

Driving India’s EV Vision

The move is strategically aligned with the government’s FAME-II scheme and the long-term EV30@30 targets, which aim for 30% electric vehicle penetration by 2030. By localizing production and deploying Industry 4.0 practices, Kinetic is contributing to the “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat” initiatives, reducing reliance on imported EV components.

Voices from the Industry

Commenting on the milestone, Sulajja Firodia Motwani, Chairperson of Kinetic Green Energy & Power Solutions, said:

“This robotic chassis line is a testament to our vision of creating world-class EVs in India. It will help us deliver stronger, safer, and more reliable vehicles to meet the mobility needs of tomorrow.”

Building for the Ecosystem

Beyond its own products, Kinetic Engineering intends to supply chassis and related components to other OEMs, strengthening India’s EV supply chain. With the rising adoption of electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and light commercial vehicles, the demand for robust chassis platforms is expected to grow rapidly.

The Road Ahead

Kinetic’s investment in robotics signals a shift towards next-generation manufacturing in India’s EV sector. As the Kinetic DX EV gears up for market launch, it is poised to set new benchmarks in durability, performance, and sustainability—making it a strong contender in the country’s growing electric mobility landscape.
