Jaguar opens booking for I-PACE electric SUV in India
Jaguar Land Rover India has opened bookings of its all-electric SUV I-PACE today. The I-Pace will launch early next year and the deliveries will commence from March 2021.
Recently, the Jaguar Land Rover’s country head said that the company is planning to launch its battery-powered SUV in India in early 2021. It has also revealed the updated version of the electric SUV which includes a new fast, intuitive infotainment system and quick-charging capability.

It now features a 3 phase AC home charging and even more driver-focused technology. The I-PACE will be offered in three variants that include S, SE, and HSE.
While looking to its technical terms it is equipped with a 90 kWh lithium-ion battery that can be charged using a 7.4 kW Ac wall charger and the company is offering a 5-year service package with 5-year roadside assistance with standard 8 years or 1,60,000 km battery warranty. The I-Pace can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 4.8 seconds.
To charge this electric vehicle the company has entered into a partnership with Tata Power to offer home/office charging facilities.
Tata Power will offer charging solutions for Jaguar Land Rover in India across its 27 retail networks in 24 cities at customer’s office or homes. Jaguar Land Rover India partners Tata Power to provide EV charging solutions in India.

Tata Power will provide AC and DC chargers with the capacity from 7 kW to 50 kW. With this partnership, we can clearly say that Jaguar is all set to launch the I-Pace in India. Earlier in March 2019, the company confirmed the I-Pace arrival to India. It will be the company’s first electric step in India which will pave the way for more such cars as also plug-in hybrids.
