Automobili Pininfarina, the Italian luxury car absolutely owned by Mahindra & Mahindra, Unveiled the pure electric histrionic GT ‘Battista’ for the first time in India here at Hyderabad as a part of the Hyderabad E-Motor show.
The unveiling here holds noteworthiness as the city toothed wheel up for India’s first formula E-Grand Prix on February 11. The car was Unveiled by Sujai Karampuri, Director of Electronics with ITE&C Department, Government of Telangana and MD at Telangana Fiber Grid Corporation, Gurpratap Boparai, CEO of Europe Business, Mahindra & Mahindra and paolo Dellacha, CEO Automobili Pininfarina were also present.

Electric vehicles are the future of unceasing vigour and the state is actively contributing to the adoption of electric vehicles for a greener future stated by Karampuri. Battista is regarded as the mountain top of Technology in electric vehicles in the truest form. As the car is Intending to participate in the Hyderabad E-Prix Circuit, It will also mark its first appearance in India. The Pininfarina Battista is an Electric sports car manufactured by Automobili Pininfarina which is headquartered in Munich, Germany with roots in the Italian car design firm and coachbuilder Pininfarina. The name Battista is a tribute to Pininfarina’s founder Battista Pininfarina. The car was publicly unveiled at the 2019 Geneva motor show.
FEATURES:
The Battista is powered by a 120 kWh battery pack. The battery pack is T-shaped and is placed such that it lies in the central tunnel and behind the seats. The car is ranging up to 450 km for a single charge. The car has four Individual motors, each placed at a wheel and having a combined power output of 1400 KW and 2300 NM of torque. The Battista gives a speed of up to 100 kilometres per hour in under 2 seconds and 300 kilometres per hour in under 12 seconds and has a top speed of 350 kilometres per hour. The car has five driving modes and the Interior of the car is customizable according to the customer’s specifications.
The production of Battista began in 2022 and is showcased in Hyderabad with the Indian tricolour flag livery at the rear. However, the car is merely for display and is highly unlikely that it will be launched in India.
PRICE:
The Battista is primarily meant for the left hand -drive markets and only 150 units of it will be ever made. It costs over $2.2 million (approximately Rs.18 crore) in global markets.
For those unaware, the Battista is an all-electric hypercar that is produced by the legendary Italian design house Pininfarina which is owned by Mahindra.
The price tag on one of these beauties is a whopping Rs 20 crore making it by far the most expensive supercar to be shown in India.
