The AtherStack 5.0 software update brings a refreshed look to the touchscreen instrument cluster. The updated UI home screen has been redesigned, allowing users to set up their ride with options like Bluetooth connectivity and navigation before starting the engine. Additionally, a brand-new driving animation now shows both power consumption and consumption in different modes. Later, Quick He controls were added, allowing users to adjust settings such as brightness and turn off incoming notifications.
In addition, AtherStack 5.0 also offers Vector maps, which are said to be smarter and more intuitive than previous versions. Vector maps include live traffic and a navigation view showing the driver’s point of view. The latest software also brings AutoHold security features to his Ather 450X. This feature prevents the electric scooter from rolling back and forth on slopes.
In addition to the upgraded software, Ather Energy also announced a brand-new 5-year battery warranty program. Ather Battery Protect extends your battery warranty to 5 years/60,000 km. This program guarantees at least 70% battery health after 5 years. The 450X comes preloaded with Ather Battery Protect and offers a 5-year (3-year standard + 2-year extended) warranty. Meanwhile, Ather 450 Plus customers can purchase this additional 2-year warranty for Rs 6,999.
Ather Energy has added four brand-new colors to its 450X electric scooter and the vehicle is now available in six color options (Lunar Gray, True Red, Cosmic Black, Salt Green, Space Gray, and Still White). All paint options add contrasting shades to the chassis in addition to solid finishes. Additionally, the Lunar Gray paint option is available in the same hue as the alloy wheels. In contrast, all other paint finishes are equipped with black light alloy wheels.
To improve the scooter’s comfort, Ather Energy has redesigned the seat of the 450X and 450 Plus scooters. The updated seat is narrower in the front, flatter in the center, steeper in the rear, and has thicker padding. The company claims the redesigned seats will accommodate riders of different constructions. This seat is compatible with all generations of 450 electric scooters and is available for purchase from previous owners at Ather Experience Centers.
