Indofast Energy and Bike Bazaar Join Hands to Deploy 5,000 Electric 2-Wheelers for Delivery Fleets

In a significant push towards accelerating electric mobility in India, battery-swapping solutions provider Indofast Energy has announced a strategic partnership with fleet operator and financier Bike Bazaar. The collaboration aims to deploy 5,000 electric two-wheelers (2Ws) across India over the next 18 months, strengthening the electrification of last-mile delivery operations in the quick commerce, e-commerce, and food delivery sectors.

The rising demand for fast and reliable deliveries, coupled with increasing fuel costs, has made electric mobility a viable and sustainable alternative for fleet operators. By offering battery-swapping technology, Indofast Energy is addressing two of the biggest challenges in EV adoption—charging downtime and range anxiety. Swappable batteries allow delivery riders to quickly exchange depleted batteries with fully charged ones, ensuring uninterrupted operations and higher vehicle utilization.

Bike Bazaar, with its strong presence in fleet operations and financing, will play a crucial role in the deployment process. Its expertise in vehicle leasing, financing, and fleet management ensures that the electric 2Ws are not only accessible to delivery partners but also financially viable. The partnership is expected to benefit small fleet owners and gig workers who are increasingly shifting to EVs to reduce operating costs.

The 5,000 EVs set to be deployed will primarily serve high-demand urban areas, where the need for sustainable mobility is most critical. Quick commerce and food delivery companies are among the fastest adopters of EV fleets, driven by the dual goals of reducing delivery costs and meeting sustainability commitments.

Speaking about the partnership, Indofast Energy emphasized that this collaboration marks a step towards building a robust EV ecosystem in India. By combining battery-swapping infrastructure with financial and fleet management expertise, the two companies aim to create a scalable and replicable model for clean mobility in the country.

This move also aligns with India’s broader EV adoption goals and net-zero commitments, as the transport sector is one of the largest contributors to carbon emissions. A large-scale shift to electric mobility, particularly in last-mile delivery, has the potential to significantly reduce urban air pollution and dependency on fossil fuels.

With delivery volumes across e-commerce and food services projected to surge in the coming years, the demand for efficient, low-cost, and eco-friendly transportation solutions will only grow. The Indofast–Bike Bazaar partnership is well-positioned to capitalize on this trend while paving the way for sustainable last-mile logistics in India.
