Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV) has exhibited a wide range of future-ready mobility solutions at the ongoing Auto Expo 2023 in India, which includes a range of products from its joint venture, Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles. Under this, Eicher Motors debuted the 13.5-meter Intercity Electric Coach, which is one of the longest in India. The company boasted that its luxury electric bus has the longest driving range in India, with a claimed 500 km range after 45 minutes of charging.
The EV will be suited for sustainable first and last-mile delivery solutions, especially for the e-commerce industry. This eco-friendly vehicle reduces the price of first- and last-mile deliveries in the e-commerce sector. The bus offers connection, smart technology, a world-class cabin, an outside that inspires aspiration, and an interior that is created ergonomically. It boasts a high-capacity battery, tilt and telescopic steering controls, and a modern dual-tone instrument display. It also has four-way adjustable driver seats and a computerized instrument panel. It boasts a 64-kWh battery with fast charging capabilities and a range of up to 174 kilometers.
