India’s First Montra Electric Tractor Showroom Opens in Guntur, Ushering in a New Era of Sustainable Agriculture

Guntur, Andhra Pradesh – A landmark moment for Indian agriculture arrived with the grand opening of the nation’s first Montra Electric Tractor showroom in Guntur. The inauguration ceremony was a prestigious affair, graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries including Shri Kinjarapu Atchannaidu Garu, Minister of Agriculture, Shri Mohammed Naseer Ahmed Garu, MLA, East Guntur, and Shri K. Harischandra Prasad Garu, CEO, Montra Electric Tractor Division. This momentous occasion signals a significant stride towards a future of sustainable and efficient farming practices across the country.

The launch of the Montra Electric Tractor showroom represents a pivotal shift in the agricultural landscape, offering farmers a cleaner, more cost-effective, and technologically advanced alternative to traditional diesel-powered tractors. This initiative underscores India’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and promoting environmentally friendly solutions within the crucial agricultural sector.

The Montra Electric Tractor boasts impressive specifications designed to meet the diverse needs of modern farmers. With a Max Power of 27 HP and an equivalent Max Torque of 90Nm, this tractor delivers robust performance comparable to its diesel counterparts. The availability of both 2WD and 4WD variants provides farmers with the flexibility to choose the option best suited for their specific terrain and operational requirements.

Powering this innovative machine is a LFP Prismatic Cell battery with a capacity of 22.37 kWh (304AH) and a charging voltage of 72V. While the runtime is dependent on the application and soil conditions, the tractor’s performance promises significant operational hours on a single charge. The Max Charger Capacity of 6.3kW ensures efficient and relatively quick charging.

The Montra Electric Tractor doesn’t compromise on functionality. It offers a Max PTO Power of 22.16 hp, a Toggle Type Dual Speed PTO Mode with speeds of 540 and 1000 rpm, and a Hydraulics Lifting Capacity of 720 kg, making it compatible with a wide range of agricultural implements.

The tractor’s technical specifications further highlight its practicality. It features Agricultural Tyres, with front tyre sizes of 5.2514 (2WD) and 612 (4WD), and rear tyre sizes of 8.3*24 for both 2WD and 4WD variants. The Side Shift transmission and 8 Forward + 2 Reverse gears provide ease of operation and maneuverability in the field.

The establishment of this dedicated showroom in Guntur not only provides farmers with easy access to the Montra Electric Tractor but also serves as a hub for information and support. Farmers can learn about the benefits of electric tractors, explore financing options, and receive guidance on maintenance and operation.

The inauguration of India’s first Montra Electric Tractor showroom in Guntur is more than just the opening of a retail space; it’s a symbol of progress, innovation, and a commitment to a greener future for Indian agriculture. It marks the beginning of a new era where technology and sustainability converge to empower farmers and contribute to a more environmentally responsible agricultural sector. This initiative is expected to pave the way for wider adoption of electric tractors across the country, transforming the agricultural landscape and driving the nation towards a more sustainable future.
