Ather’s new 450 Apex will be at the top of their e-scooter lineup
There has been a recent announcement by Ather Energy, a manufacturer of electric two-wheelers in India, that they are developing two new electric scooters. A video has been shared by Tarun Mehta, the CEO of Ather Energy, on his ‘X’ account in which he reveals the name of one of the two e-scooters the company plans to release. According to the tweet posted by the Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer, on the occasion of the company’s 10th anniversary, the Ather 450 Apex is the crown jewel of the 450 platform. The Ather 450 Apex is expected to be the fastest electric scooter offered by the company.

It’s Ather’s next e-scooter, the Apex 450
The CEO of Ather recently shared a teaser video featuring community members testing the upcoming Ather 450 Apex and sharing their feedback. The video does not reveal any specifications, but it is expected that there will be improvements to low-end acceleration and a top speed increase to match the current fastest e-scooter, the Ather 450X. Unfortunately, details about the battery pack and driving range have not been disclosed yet.
The tweet stated that the manufacturer had recently invited some members of their community to test their fastest scooter yet. The Ather 450 Apex is expected to be launched in just a few weeks and more details are expected to be revealed soon. The e-scooter is anticipated to be available for purchase in the early months of 2024.
Ather 450X: Ather Energy’s current flagship product
The Ather 450X is the company’s current flagship offering in India, and it is priced between Rs 1.26 lakhs and Rs 1.29 lakhs (ex-showroom), making it one of the company’s most affordable offerings on the market. A top speed of 90 km/h can be achieved by this vehicle, and its acceleration from 0-40 km/h can be accomplished in just 3.3 seconds. As the top electric scooter in its segment, the Ather 450X is going head-to-head with the Ola S1 Pro which is also available.
An E-scooter for the family
Tarun Mehta, the company’s director of marketing and sales, recently announced that they are developing a family-oriented scooter for the Indian market as well as the Ather 450 Apex. Designed with families in mind, this new e-scooter is expected to offer a more comfortable ride as well as a larger range of driving, compared to the existing Ather 450 range of scooters, making it easily accessible to a wide range of users.
