In Electric Avatar, Kinetic Luna makes a triumphant return in February 2024

The company’s website has been accepting reservations for Rs 500 since Republic Day.

The electric two-wheeler market in India is expanding rapidly, and Kinetic Green, the manufacturer of electric vehicles, is all set to launch the classic Kinetic Luna in electric form. Since Republic Day, the electric moped called the e-Luna, has been available for reservations. Interested buyers can reserve an e-Luna on the company’s website by paying a token amount of Rs 500. The original Luna, which was popular from the 1970s through the beginning of the 2000s, was well-liked due to its affordable price, fuel efficiency, and straightforward design.

E-Luna Kinetic Design

As previously stated, the pragmatic design of the previous model will be carried forward into the upcoming E-Luna. The scooter’s bodywork is uncomplicated, featuring a split seat, a square headlight, and a storage area adjacent to the spine. The E-Luna may be outfitted with an LCD cluster, based on the previously released image, although the specifics regarding the motor and batteries remain undisclosed.

Mechanical specifications of Kinetic E-Luna

The company has not yet released detailed information regarding the battery and range capabilities of the E-Luna. However, the company asserts that the model will have utility for both small enterprises and individual consumers seeking reliable personal mobility solutions. The electric Luna is expected to deliver an impressive range of approximately 70 to 75 kilometers on a single charge. While the details of the vehicle’s specifications remain uncertain before the official launch, the e-Luna will likely employ a 2kWh battery pack and observe a maximum speed limit of 60 km/h.

E-Luna Hardware Components

The E-Luna’s hardware is quite straightforward, with dual rear springs and telescopic front forks. It also uses drum brakes on both ends to handle the braking. Due to its focus on last-mile delivery, the price of E-Luna will probably be relatively affordable. Kinetic intends to serve not only metro areas and Tier 1 cities but also Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities with this electric vehicle.

Company Responses

Sulajja Firodia Motwani, the Founder and CEO of Kinetic Green, has announced that the iconic Luna is making a comeback in a brand-new electric avatar. The E-Luna is scheduled to be launched in early February 2024, with bookings opening on Republic Day, January 26, 2024. The E-Luna is designed to fulfill the driving requirements of consumers in metro and Tier 1 towns, as well as the tier-2, tier-3 cities and rural markets of India. It is a sturdy and durable EV that will provide an efficient alternative to traditional petrol two-wheelers while addressing the evolving preferences of modern consumers. As a versatile and practical choice for consumers in the new Bharat, the E-Luna will stand out because of its impressive technical specifications, performance capabilities, and environmental responsibility. “Made in India” and “Made for India” are two of the key characteristics of the E-Luna. Kinetic Green chose Republic Day to present the E-Luna to the citizens of India to celebrate the fact that it is a product of India. Sulajja Firodia Motwani said, “It is once again time to say, Chal Meri Luna, iss baar Petrol ke Bina.”

The e-Luna is a well-known brand that has the potential to disrupt the country’s last-mile mobility market, provided it is offered at a competitive price. It is expected to incorporate several functionality enhancements while still being influenced by its ICE predecessor design. Kinetic Green has stated that it can manufacture up to 5,000 units per month at its Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, production facility.
