The electric bullet is developed by an Electric Classic Cars company in England. Surprising right? If you are also wondering about how an electric cars company developing an electric motorcycle then let me tell you in detail about why and how this transformation happened.

Electric Classic Cars Founder’s father (Richard Morgan) is a motorcyclist and fond of motorcycles and he wanted to build an electric bike. They planned to go for a new bike instead of retrofitting an old bike.

They bought a standard Royal Enfield Bullet 500, then removed the air-cooled, single-cylinder engine and drivetrain altogether. Later the engine is replaced with a 10 kWh li-ion LG batteries, it gets power from a 13kW water-cooled three-phase hub motor mounted directly in the Photon’s rear wheel hub.

Now talking about its technical terms, the Photon can accelerate from 48 km/h to 80 km/h in about 6 seconds. It can achieve a top speed of over 112 km/h. The Photon has a range of about 128-160 km when ridden in the normal speed of (80-96 km/h).

It can be charged with the help of a 7 kW onboard charger that allows charging the battery pack completely in one and a half and hours.

The electric photon performance can be compared with a
Royal Enfield’s 350 which gives similar Top speed, range and acceleration.

If we look into some of its features are high-intensity and 3D-printed battery covers.

If we talk about the look of the electric royal Enfield than it is just stunning and will give a cleaner riding experience. But you will miss its iconic engine sound.

The electric version of Royal Enfield Photon is priced at approx $20,000, Rs.15 lakh.

Hope the iconic engine sound of the bullet will not disappoint the bullet lovers.
