The Korean carmaker, Hyundai motors did not make much difference in terms of looks of the car. Kona appears to be the same as the standard Kona which sold overseas. It just minused the front grille and there are some changes made to the bumper.

Kona in two versions – Battery packs

The Kona is available in two versions globally, one with a 39kWh battery which gives a range of 300Km and the second version comes with a bigger battery pack of 64kWh and has a range close to 480km.

The company still did not announce whether both the versions will be launch in India.

We can expect that the company will launch the 39kWh battery pack version in India, as bigger the battery pack, better-charging infrastructure required to charge the EV.

EV charging stations

As of now, India is into the stage of installing EV charging stations all over the country, slowly but definitely, it is providing sufficient charging stations to power up the EVs in India.

Electric Kona Specifications

The 39kWh version has a power output of 136PS and 395Nm and accelerates from 0-100kmph in just 9.7 seconds and gives a top speed of 155kmph.

Whereas the 64kWh version has a power output of 204PS and 395Nm. The electric Kona also supports fast charging and it charges from 0-80 % in just 54 minutes.
