Honda confirmed name of its upcoming e-car-Honda e

Honda Motors revealed the name for its upcoming electric car as ‘Honda e.’ The city EV is based on the urban EV concept that was showcased at Frankfurt Motor Show and Geneva Motor Show last year.

The Honda e-prototype was designed to use and build upcoming A- and B-segment electric cars. It is produced by Panasonic and the batteries placement is under the floor.

EV Technical specifications

If we look to the technical specifications, the electric car will have an output of more than 99bhp and 300 Nm of torque. The range will be 201 km and can charges the EV fastly up to 80% in just 30 mins using a fast charger.

Company other competitors

The Honda e have some other competitors with having more range such as the Kia Niro and the BMW i3 which have a range of 453 km and 310 km.




Company’s First Small Electric Hatchback

The company’s First Small Electric Hatchback looks little similar to Mr.Bean’s Mini car with round headlamps and retro compact profile.

It has cameras in the place of wing mirrors, flush door handles, its charging port is on the bonnet and round headlamps.

Interiors have the dashboard which is having two large 12.0-inch touchscreens inbuilt. The center console is finished with wood trim. The dashboard has two more screens on the sides to project the view of the mirrors.




The seats are covered by polyester so that it gives the home like feeling and the flat floor is the unique feature of EV.

Honda e sales will in selected European markets 

Honda e will be built in Japan and the sale will be in selected European markets in the year-end. The company didn’t announce its plan to bring it in India yet.
