Hero MotoCorp Relaunches Vida V1 Plus at Rs 1.15 Lakh, Offering a More Affordable

Electric Scooter Option
Hero MotoCorp has reintroduced the Vida V1 Plus electric scooter in the Indian market, aiming to cater to a wider range of customers with a more accessible price point. The relaunched V1 Plus is priced at Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom, including FAME II subsidy and portable charger), which is a significant Rs 30,000 less compared to its sibling, the Vida V1 Pro.

Specifications:

The Vida V1 Plus shares many similarities with the V1 Pro, but with a slightly less powerful battery pack. Here’s a breakdown of the key specifications:

Motor: Both scooters share the same 3.9 kW electric motor with a peak power output of 6 kW.
Battery: The V1 Plus comes equipped with a smaller 3.44 kWh lithium-ion battery, while the V1 Pro boasts a larger 3.94 kWh battery.
Range: Due to the smaller battery, the V1 Plus offers a claimed range of 100 km on a single charge, whereas the V1 Pro can travel up to 110 km.Speed: Both scooters have a similar top speed of 80 kmph.
Features: The V1 Plus inherits most of the features from the V1 Pro, including LED headlamps, taillights, a digital instrument cluster, connectivity options, and multiple riding modes.

Strategic Move:

Hero MotoCorp’s decision to reintroduce the V1 Plus is likely a strategic move to tap into the growing demand for affordable electric two-wheelers in India. The lower price point of the V1 Plus makes it more competitive against rivals like the Ather 450S, Ola S1 Air, and TVS iQube.

Target Audience:

The V1 Plus is likely targeted toward customers who prioritize affordability and are willing to compromise slightly on range in exchange for a lower price tag. With its decent range, stylish design, and familiar Hero MotoCorp branding, the V1 Plus could attract a wider audience looking for a practical and budget-friendly electric scooter option.

Overall, the relaunch of the Vida V1 Plus signifies Hero MotoCorp’s commitment to expanding its electric vehicle portfolio and catering to the diverse needs of Indian consumers in the rapidly growing electric two-wheeler market.
