ETO Motors to deploy 350 electric vehicles in Kevadia, Gujarat

A Hyderabad based electric vehicles startup ETO Motors an electric mobility solutions and services provider said that it has planned to deploy over 350 electric vehicles in the next four to six months at Kevadia in Gujarat, the home of the Statue of Unity.

The ETO Motors has started its operations of over 50 of its ‘TriLux’ electric three-wheelers at Kevadia in partnership with the Statue of Unity Area Development and Tourism Governance Authority (SOUADTGA). “The company would further look at deploying over 350 electric vehicles in the next four to six months,” it added.

Go Electric Campaign in Hyderabad

ETO Motors has launched a Go Electric Campaign in Hyderabad supported by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency and Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation Ltd. (TSREDCO). The startup had showcased its passenger & cargo vehicles ETO TRILUX & ETO Bulke Plus at the launch. It has launched a special scheme to transform the lives of drivers and enable them to become owners of the vehicle.

Manufacturing facility in Telangana 

In November 2020, it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Telangana to set up a greenfield manufacturing facility in the state for its range of electric three-wheelers. The facility will be set up under its subsidiary Keto Motors with an investment of INR 150 Crores over the next 5 years. This initiative will create 1,500 people employment opportunities.

This project’s products include electric three-wheelers passengers and cargo segments. Its vehicles are equipped with high-quality suspension and the largest tyres in the three-wheeler segment that provide a smooth riding experience. It will have greater stability and legroom. The vehicles are powered by an AC-induction motor and come with lithium-ion batteries. It provides a range of up to 120 KM in a single charge. The vehicles are highly robust as it comes with ABS panels and aluminium chassis.

ETO Motors portfolio includes e-rickshaws (L3), e-Autos (L5), 4 Wheelers in both passenger and cargo segments. Over 150 passenger vehicles from ETO Motors are already widely used for ride-sharing at the metro stations in Delhi, Noida, Nagpur.
