Enhanced range with Tork Kratos R Eco+ mode

Tork Motors, a manufacturer of electric motorcycles, has released an updated version of its flagship product, the Kratos R. The new model features an Eco+ ride mode that can extend its range to more than 150 kilometers on a single charge, bringing its real-world range closer to 180 kilometers according to the company (IDC). The Kratos R also offers three other modes, including Eco, City, and Sport.

When riding in the city, factors such as congestion and heavy traffic can adversely affect the motorcycle’s range. To address this issue, the Eco+ mode has been specifically designed. This mode limits the motorcycle’s top speed to 35 kmph, which helps to extract the maximum range in city riding conditions. The company introduced this mode in response to customer demand.

According to Kapil Shelke, the founder and CEO of Tork Motors, customers have the option to switch to a higher-performance mode as needed. Riders can either choose the Eco+ mode to maximize the range or the Sport mode to unleash the motorcycle’s full potential. This can be done easily with the flick of a switch, depending on the rider’s preference.

Kratos R electric bikes now come with an additional Eco+ mode, which will be offered to existing customers as well. In addition to the four existing drive modes, the bikes will also feature a reverse mode to help riders park their vehicles with ease.

The electric motorcycle is powered by a unique 9kW Axial Flux motor, which can deliver a maximum torque of 38 Nm and offers an impressive 96% efficiency rating. The motor is coupled with a 4.0 kWh Li-ion battery pack that has an IP67 rating. When in Sport mode, the bike can achieve a top speed of 105 kph.

Kratos R has various features including Geofencing, Find My Vehicle, Motorwalk Assist, Crash Alert, Vacation Mode, Track Mode Analysis, and Smart Charge Analysis. The e-bike is available in four colors: White, Blue, Red, and Black.
