Surat Municipal Corporation standing committee approves tender for 150 electric buses. These buses will be produced by Hyderabad company Oelctra

The bus 40% cost will be given as a subsidy under FAME II scheme Also, the state government will be giving a 25% subsidy in the operating cost per kilometers of the buses in the city.
