eBikeGo to manufacture Muvi electric scooter in India
eBikeGo an India’s largest electric two-wheeler mobility platform has acquired the product license rights to manufacture ‘Muvi’ Electric Vehicles of leading Spanish automotive company Torrot in India. Read further to know more about eBikeGo Muvi electric scooter.
The eBikeGo will manufacture this electric vehicle and will sell in India and across the world. The firm stated that eBikeGo aims to hold 5% of the two-wheeler electric vehicle manufacturing market.

Now talking about the Muvi which is designed in Europe, it is an IoT and AI-enabled electric vehicle with smart features that can keep easily connected, controlled and monitored through a smartphone. It comes with battery swapping which makes it convenient for the users to swap their batteries at the swap stations.
The electric vehicle is lightweight weighs only 83 kgs and can go up to 100 km in Eco mode with a top speed of 60 km/hr. The Muvi is widely accepted by 14 established e-commerce and shared mobility companies that offer all the advantages of an EV.
“We are extremely pleased to have received the license to manufacture Muvi, one of the leading electric vehicles in India from the renowned international automotive company Torrot. Muvi, being a technologically advanced vehicle and already operating in 12 countries It does not require any homologation to supply. These markets, opening the way for global presence,” stated Dr Irfan Khan, Founder and CEO, eBikeGo.
In India alone around 25 million two-wheelers have been sold every year of which electric vehicles account for a meagre 0.3 per cent, he said. This fraction has been in observation constantly throughout the past 6 years.
“This will greatly help us to broaden our horizons and to further become the front-runner of e-mobility adoption in the country,” he adds. Torrot has invested largely in R&D since 2015 and has developed and sold 30,000 units in Europe.
eBikeGo had recently made its first acquisition in tech firm Kustard Technologies for $2 million in a bid to build fleet management systems to empower delivery firms such as Amazon, Flipkart and Big Basket with updated technologies.
In August it had announced the launch of its electric scooter ‘Rugged’. The scooter is completely designed and manufactured in India and it will be eligible for the FAME II subsidies. It has also been tested and approved by the International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT).
