Noida, India — July 28, 2025: In a significant step towards bolstering India’s electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem, Japanese automotive technology leader DENSO Corporation has announced an investment of ₹250 crore to set up a new manufacturing facility in Noida, Uttar Pradesh . This facility will focus on the production of motors for electric and hybrid vehicles , marking a critical development in the country’s EV component manufacturing landscape.
The investment is being carried out in collaboration with Invest UP , the Government of Uttar Pradesh’s investment promotion and facilitation agency. Boosting Localized EV Component Manufacturing The upcoming plant will be dedicated to the production of high-efficiency electric motors used in both battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs). By manufacturing these motors locally, DENSO aims to reduce the reliance on imports, lower production costs for OEMs, and accelerate the adoption of EVs in the Indian market.
