Curvv SUV to be renamed Frest by Tata Motors

Intention to use Tata Frest as Curvv’s production name, trademark registered

There has been a trademark registration for the Frest trademark by Tata Motors. A Tata Curvv is expected to be produced by the Indian automaker under this name shortly.

As part of the Tata Curvv concept, a plug-in hybrid version of the vehicle was revealed in April 2022. As part of the 2023 Auto Expo, the Indian automaker revealed the ICE version of the concept along with a hybrid version.

It will be based on the upcoming Tata Nexon which is currently being tested and spotted multiple times. The Curvv will get a coupe-like roofline that we have seen on the concept version. We expect the final design to be more or less the same.

In terms of their front design, the Nexon and Curvv are expected to have similar-looking front designs in the next generation. A recent spotting of the interior of the Nexon prototype revealed similar details to the concept version of the Curvv, which was seen on the concept version of the Nexon prototype. A steering wheel that has been taken from the concept of the car comes with an innovative design. There will be an illuminated Tata logo at the center of the device.

According to recent leaks, the center console of the vehicle will feature a touch panel. A CNG button could also be seen in the leaked image of the panel. This means that in addition to the diesel and petrol engines available on the Curvv, there will also be CNG engines available. In addition to the petrol version, Tata will also offer an electric version of the car.

The Evolution of SUV Design – Tata Curvv

Tata Motors’ CURVV concept introduces a dynamic and modern SUV typology. It combines the robustness and durability of an SUV with the elegant and sporty silhouette of a coupe. CURVV delivers the ideal blend of aesthetics, performance, and functionality.

The exterior design exudes a charismatic presence with its high ride height, robust bodywork, and dynamic proportions. The front and rear fenders are greatly offset to give the wheels a sense of power. Together with the stiff sections of the fairing, a stable and balanced stance is guaranteed. Sleek upper daytime running lights and a triangular headlight design provide a recognizable signature, complete with an animated welcome feature as you approach the CURVV. A unique feature is the distinctive LED lights that surround the rear window, which, together with the horizontal light bar, enhance the breadth and high-tech character of the concept.

The front lower bumper has a groove pattern that conveys a sense of precision, and this theme is repeated in the rear and wheel aero blade design for a cohesive overall feel. The daylight openings feature typical SUV coupe graphics that flow across the C-pillars and decklids. The wheel arch liners and lower sills give a sense of the toughness and durability required for an SUV, while the high-gloss black finish creates a sense of luxury. A strong aerodynamic theme runs through the SUV. A floating hood directs airflow downwards and out through triangular structures higher on the surface. Floating C-pillars continue the aerodynamic theme, allowing airflow to flow down the sides of the body and under the pillars, and out the sides of the rear windows. The wheels are also equipped with aero blade inserts that close open areas to improve airflow over the surface, while the diamond-turned surface delivers high graphic contrast.

The interior is impressively spacious and focused. It is completely modern and uncluttered, integrated with the latest onboard technology and HMI. Designing a bold, beautiful, and startlingly dynamic interior with an emphasis on color, materials, and finishing results in a truly premium atmosphere. Carefully selected interior elements clarify the brand vision and appeal to active customers. An intelligent interior package provides plenty of space for passengers and luggage.

A large panoramic glass roof integrates the rear spoiler into the roofline. It also brings a sense of openness and lots of natural light to the cockpit. A split rear spoiler allows the centerline to maintain the silhouette of his SUV coupe, blending into the rear window through the short trunk lid.

With its inherently expressive design, its CURVV concept is ahead of its time and appeals to progressive new-age customers who truly understand the value of Different by Design.
