BMW Motorrad, the iconic German motorcycle manufacturer, has officially launched its futuristic electric scooter, the CE 04, in India. This avant-garde two-wheeler is set to redefine urban mobility with its blend of style, performance, and sustainability.

Design and Features

The CE 04 is a bold departure from traditional scooter aesthetics. Its futuristic design, characterized by a flat body, large aprons, and a bench-like seat, makes a striking impression. The scooter comes equipped with a 10.25-inch TFT display that serves as the interface for various functions, including navigation, connectivity, and vehicle information.

Powered by a liquid-cooled electric motor, the CE 04 delivers a punchy 41 bhp and 62 Nm of torque. This translates to a thrilling acceleration, with the scooter reaching 0-50 kph in just 2.6 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 120 kph.

The CE 04’s battery pack boasts a capacity of 8.9 kWh, offering a claimed range of 130 km on a single charge. BMW offers fast charging capability, allowing the battery to be charged to 80% in approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Safety and Technology

Safety is a priority with the CE 04. It comes equipped with ABS as standard, with ABS Pro with banking capability available as an option. Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) is another optional feature that enhances stability.

The scooter offers three riding modes – Eco, Rain, and Road – to suit different riding conditions and preferences. LED lighting ensures excellent visibility, and the scooter’s ergonomic design promotes a comfortable riding experience.
