Ather Energy Expands ‘Ather Grid’ to Over 400 Charging Points in Tamil Nadu, Boosts EV Infrastructure
Bengaluru-headquartered electric vehicle (EV) pioneer Ather Energy has achieved a significant milestone in its charging infrastructure expansion, announcing that its ‘Ather Grid’ fast-charging network has now surpassed 400 charging points across Tamil Nadu . The latest figures reveal that Tamil Nadu now hosts a total of 480 fast charging points , a number that includes over 50 LECCS (Light Electric Combined Charging System) chargers . The LECCS standard, developed in-house by Ather Energy, represents a major step toward interoperability in the EV sector. It enables different brands of light electric vehicles — including electric scooters, bikes, and other light EV formats — to access and benefit from the same charging network, making EV ownership more convenient and accessible.
