After successful launches in Bangalore and Chennai, Ather Energy is planning to launch Ather Electric Scooter now in Hyderabad. Ather has revealed that their next launch will be at Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.

Ather Electric Scooter now in Hyderabad

Hero MotoCorp backed Ather Energy is planning to launch its electric scooter in 6 new cities of India in the year 2020. The first in the list is Hyderabad. In their past official release, Ather revealed that their next launch will be at Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.

The Electric scooter first launched in 2017 in Bangalore and deliveries began in 2018. Later in 2019, the company has expanded their network to Chennai. Last year, Ather Energy discontinued 340, as more than 90% demand was for the 450 e-scooter. Now, only the Ather 450 is available for sale in Bangalore and Chennai.

The Ather 450 is priced at Rs. 1.12 lakhs after the drop-in GST rates on electric vehicles. Ather 450 and has been received well both in Bengaluru and Chennai.

It is available in a single white paint scheme, with a touch of black on the front apron. The 450 gets premium features like TFT color display, LED lighting at the front and rear, Bluetooth, vehicle tracking multiple riding modes along with over-the-air software and firmware updates.

It also gets vehicle diagnostics along an in-built reverse park assist feature. This feature allows the rider to ride the scooter in reverse direction for easing parking and for coming out of difficult parking spaces.

Ather 450 runs with a 2.4 kWh Lithium-ion battery pack mated to a Brushless DC Motor (BLDC). In Eco mode, the battery offers a range of 60 km where as in Regular mode it offers 50 km with a top speed of 80 kmph. It accelerates from 0 to 40 kmph in 3.9 seconds. The batteries come with a 3 year/unlimited km warranty.

Ather Energy is also investing in fast charging systems to be installed both in Bengaluru and Chennai. Till the date, Chennai has 10 fast charging points while free charging was given to Ather 450 owners till December 2019.
