Ather 450 from a famous electric two-wheelers manufacturer was an only electric scooter that was ruling the hearts of the people but it seems now people got another option too. One of the oldest and trusted brands of India Bajaj Auto has recently launched its electric scooter Bajaj Chetak. Ather 450 & Bajaj Electric Chetak.




As Ather Energy is offering the best and promising models to its customers, it has enjoyed pretty much electric two-wheeler segment. But now a new electric scooter is launched by a major player in the industry. Ather got its competitor! When we look at the specifications of Chetak it too seems very promising. The Automaker, Bajaj is back again in the two-wheelers segment after 14 years with its all-new model ‘all-electric model.’

Bajaj VS Ather 

Riding Modes 




Bajaj Chetak gets power from a 4 kW electric motor with 16 Nm of torque and it has two riding modes such as Eco and Sport. In eco, you get 95 km and in sport 85 km.

Whereas Ather 450 has three riding modes such as Eco, Ride, and Sport which offers 75 km range in eco and 65 km in ride and sport modes.

Charging 

Both the electric scooters can be charged with a regular 5-ampere power outlet but Chetak takes 5 hours for a full charge and Ather 450 takes 4 hours. Ather 450 can also be charged with a DC fast charging at a rate of about 1 km per minute. Whereas Chetak doesn’t support fast charging.

Features 

Both scooters offer an all-LED lighting, a reverse mode and a digital instrument cluster. Ather 450 has seven-inch display is a TFT touchscreen unit. Both have smartphone connectivity features.

Ather 450X 

Ather 450’s upgraded model Ather 450X is yet to revealed its specifications on 28th January 2020. We have to wait until the official launch and see which electric scooter is better, either it is Bajaj electric chetak or Ather 450X.
