There are more features and a new interior for the Mahindra XUV400

A new model of Mahindra’s XUV400 Pro range has been launched starting at Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom). There are two versions of the Pro models, EC Pro and EL Pro, which essentially introduce a new dashboard for the eSUV. With deliveries beginning in February, reservations for the SUV have started at a token amount of Rs 21,000.

Despite the SUV’s identical exterior design, it is now available in Nebula Blue as a new color option. Besides a new instrument panel and an infotainment display running AdrenoX UI, significant changes have been made to the SUV’s interior. Consequently, new air conditioning vents were added below the floating display on the dashboard. Dual-zone climate control is also enabled by two dials with digital displays on the HVAC controls.

This was accompanied by a revision of the switchgear as well. Additionally, the XUV400 now has a new dual-tone black and beige theme, replacing the old all-black theme. In the same way as before, copper accents continue to be used. As part of the new design, the steering wheel features a flat bottom, leather stitching, and copper threads.

XUV400 Pro Technology

This new infotainment system features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, as seen in the XUV700 and Scorpio N. Mahindra used its AdrenoX UI for the dual displays found in the XUV700 and Scorpio N. One interesting feature is the full-screen navigation system. This system can also be found in the Tata Nexon.ev, which is Mahindra’s main competition.

In addition to the wireless phone charger and Alexa voice assistant, the XUV400 is equipped with rear air vents and rear USB ports, which all address some of the weaknesses of the vehicle.

XUV400 Pro 2024 Engine

Mechanically, the Mahindra XUV400 Pro is the same as before. The XUV400 Pro is mostly a feature upgrade. In addition to the 34.5kWh battery pack, there is a 39.4kWh battery pack in the SUV. It has been updated with both battery packs, which makes it possible to get the top-spec EL Pro (top-spec) with both packs at a lower price point than the previous model. It is still possible to purchase the EC Pro with the smaller battery pack that was previously available.

Mahindra claims that the smaller battery pack will provide a range of 375km, and the larger battery pack will provide a range of 456km, based on the MIDC cycle. The XUV400 model range is powered by an e-motor mounted on the front axle, which provides 150 horsepower and 310Nm of torque, translating to an 8.3-second 0 to 100kmph time.
