Tata Power and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. Inaugurate India’s Largest TATA.ev MegaCharger Hub on World EV Day

Mumbai, 09 September 2025: In a landmark development for India’s electric mobility journey, Tata Power, the country’s largest integrated power company and leading EV charging solutions provider, in collaboration with Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. (TPEM), India’s largest four-wheeler EV manufacturer, unveiled the nation’s largest and first co-branded TATA.ev MegaCharger Hub. Strategically located near Terminal 2 of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, within the premises of The Leela Mumbai Hotel, the facility marks a bold step in reshaping the EV charging infrastructure landscape.

The inauguration, coinciding with World EV Day 2025, was jointly led by Dr. Praveer Sinha, CEO & MD, Tata Power, and Mr. Shailesh Chandra, MD, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. & Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd.

A State-of-the-Art EV Charging Ecosystem

The TATA.ev MegaCharger Hub has been meticulously designed to serve a wide spectrum of EV users – from private car owners to taxis, ride-hailing fleets, logistics operators, and even frequent business travelers. With its proximity to the bustling Andheri–BKC–South Mumbai corridor, it is ideally positioned to cater to both locals and visitors, including hotel guests and international flyers arriving at Terminal 2.

The facility is equipped with eight high-capacity DC fast chargers offering charging speeds of up to 120 kW. Together, these chargers power 16 bays, enabling simultaneous charging for 16 EVs – a significant advantage in reducing wait times and enhancing user convenience. Open 24×7 and powered entirely by 100% green energy, the hub represents a blend of technology, sustainability, and customer-centric design.
