Switch Leads June 2025 EV Bus Sales; Pinnacle & JBM Auto Follow Closely

India’s electric bus market witnessed dynamic shifts in June 2025, highlighting growing competition and emerging leaders in sustainable urban transport. According to data from the Vahan Dashboard (as of July 2nd, excluding Telangana), Switch Mobility led the charge with the highest number of deliveries—126 electric buses, securing a dominant 23.8% market share.

Following closely behind was JBM Auto Limited, delivering 111 units and capturing a 20.9% share. This solid performance reaffirms JBM’s strong footprint in public transport solutions across Indian cities.

A surprise standout this month was Pinnacle Mobility, which delivered 108 units, translating into a 20.4% market share. This robust growth from Pinnacle signals rising competition and the increasing presence of newer companies ready to challenge established players.

Olectra Greentech Ltd., long recognized as a leader in India’s EV bus space, retained its importance with 80 units sold and a 15.1% share, though it was edged out of the top 3 for the month.

PMI Electro Mobility, which has previously shown strong numbers, experienced a noticeable dip. The company managed to deliver 57 units, holding on to just a 10.7% share, indicating either supply-side constraints or heightened competition.

Tata Motors, a legacy brand in the Indian automotive sector, clocked 34 units and settled at a 6.4% share, signaling steady but conservative momentum in this segment.

Meanwhile, JBM Electric Vehicles—a separate vertical from JBM Auto—delivered 12 buses, rounding out the table with a 2.2% share.
