Hyderabad, June 28, 2025 — In a landmark deal that reshapes the ownership structure of one of India’s top renewable energy firms, AM Green Power B.V. , backed by Greenko’s founding promoters, has acquired a 17.5% stake in Greenko Energy Holdings from Japan’s ORIX Corporation .
This strategic acquisition sees ORIX divesting its entire stake in Greenko Energy Holdings , and in turn, taking a minority position in AM Green (Luxembourg) — the holding entity for AM Green Power. The move is in line with ORIX’s capital recycling strategy , while continuing its alliance with the original Greenko leadership under the AM Green brand.
